In Paul’s work as a Director/DP, he draws daily on his diverse and extensive technical background, as well as his love for art of all shapes and forms. He embraces all photographic technologies, from analog to digital, vintage to cutting-edge, aiming to find hidden new perspectives on ordinary subjects and scenes. Paul’s constant openness to experimentation has allowed him to stay on the front lines of premier image-making, even breaking new ground with his work. He has earned himself a reputation for crafting compelling and intriguing images in the most unique and trying circumstances.

Among a body of work that includes a wide variety of commercials, television, features, documentaries and docu-dramas, Paul showcases his instinctive talent for visual interpretation. He shot the docudrama pilot THE ACCUSED, and multiple episodes of the Cineflix/Discover Channel/National Geographic channel docudrama series MAYDAY, which garnered him a CSC nomination for Best Docudrama Cinematography.


Paul has shot numerous cinematic TV Promos for many of the FX Network’s hit series, including RESCUE ME, starring Denis Leary, SONS OF ANARCHY with Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman, JUSTIFIED starring Timothy Olyphant, DAMAGES with Glenn Close, TERRIERS, starring Donal Logue, WILFRED with Elijah Wood and AMERICAN HORROR STORY with Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton and Jessica Lange.


Paul also earned a CSC nomination for Best Feature Cinematography for his work on EVE, which was selected to be a part of The Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography’s Collection and a CSC Award for Best Commercial Cinematography for PIANO INTERUPTUS. The TV film SHADOW PLEASURES earned him a Gemini nomination for Best Cinematography, a Golden Sheaf award for Best Cinematography at Yorkton Film Festival and a CSC nomination for Best Performance Cinematography. Paul has also shot a number of commercials, including a spot for the Major League Baseball Network, which went on to earn a Sports Emmy Award Nomination for The George Wensel Technical Achievement Award. Additionally, Paul’s work on THE FIGHT NETWORK commercial campaign won the prestigious GOLD LION AWARD at Cannes.
